BlueJam Improv Choirs: Spring Programme
See Improv Choirs for info: the choir is now formed for the rehearsals up to June 16th, however please get in touch with Jilly if you are interested in being involved. Sessions run weekly in Penrith and occasionally in London and the North-East. Workshops using the Improv Choir method can be organised for your group or choir anywhere in the UK. The music we do at the moment is a mix of jazz improvisation and original world-folk based original compositions. We also experiment with singing/drawing/movement and free improv sessions.
We use improv as a learning and performance device. It is a friendly choir - not about celebrating individual voices so much as the interplay of the voices within the group and the excitement that comes from that.
